Love is Spelled T.I.M.E.

Here at Persnickety Crane Cafe, we value family. After all, we are a family owned business, where Cecilia and her family work as a team! Being family-oriented, we wanted to provide a space for families to come, spend time together, and re-connect. In the midst of our fast-paced, social-media driven society, families don’t get enough opportunities to spend quality time together – talking, playing games, sharing a cupcake, laughing and the like. However, it is so important for the health of the family unit to be able to spend time together. You may have heard the quip love is spelled T.I.M.E. – there is definitely some truth in that adage.

According to human behavioral physician, Dr. Todd Thatcher, time with close friends and family can improve both your physical, mental, and emotional health.

  1. Physical Health: Studies show that family time has been linked to living a longer, healthier, happier life.
  2. Mental & Emotional Health: Talking to close friends and family is often relaxing for all people involved, reducing high levels of stress. With all the stress of 2020, the pandemic and more, people need an oasis where they can unwind and feed their soul. Dr. Thatcher asserts that being able to chat with friends and family promotes adaptability, resilience, and boosts self-confidence. I’ll drink a latte to that!

Okay, we know why it’s important, but how do we make it happen? Persnickety is here to facilitate good vibes for you, being an establishment that helps you connect with your family and friends.

For example, Every Friday night, we have a teen and family night. We have games, trivia, conversation cards, and more – not to mention our delicious specialty faire!

Plus our Children’s Area is a perfect setting to play with your child – pretend grocery shop with them, put on a puppet show, count the fish in our fish tank, and more. It’s quality time – easy peasy. $10 and 20 minutes well spent.

Did you know we also hold tea parties, puppet shows, kids crafts, cookie decorating, coffee tastings, and more – these events are all family friendly and are a great way to share an experience with your loved ones. In these stressful times, there’s nothing like a cup of coffee and a good laugh with your close friends and family.

Come. Drink. Connect. Be Well.
